Day 220 - I'm Still Here

November 9, 2006

Sorry it has been a while since my last "hair shot". I have been under the weather the past few days fighting off flu.

Happy to say the worst has past and I am getting back on my feet.

The hair has not suffered which is great as I know that when people are unwell, their hairs condition suffers also.

Sorry about the picture and lack of hairstyle - I promise I will style it for the next journal entry!

Day 221 – Manbands

November 10, 2006

I'm back on my feet and almost over the flu.

Thank you for the Get Well Soon emails - they made me smile when I was feeling miserable :)

Hair has been washed today and styled for the first time in a few days.

Using my "manband" at home whilst my hair grows - looks amazing and really outlines my hairline and density I have achieved.

I'm just loving the new hair...does it tell'

Day 224 - Hair Comparison

November 13, 2006

I was going to take some photos of myself today but got sidetracked going through some of the earlier pictures of my journal.

I thought it might be time for a comparison shot:

Now that it's around 7.5 months after my procedure, I'm around 70% completed meaning that I have around 1000 hairs (600 grafts) still to come (or coming) through.

This is evident as I'm still noticing a lot of bristles coming through my existing hair.

Day 225 - Hair Trim

November 14, 2006

Had a little hair trim today.

Still noticing loads of bristles coming through and even the hairdresser could feel them. Another month or so and they should be grown and realistically, I will then be at 90% growth.

Last 10% will come through between now and the following couple of months.

Day 226 - Back From London

November 15, 2006

Another great visit to London seeing patients and friends.

Here's a very tired me (self inflicted) on the train coming back to the Midlands.

Day 232 - Hair Articles

November 21, 2006

Hair is looking great and the bristles are getting longer. Another couple of months and I’ll be 100% there.

Had a few guys ask me about recovery and how much time to take off work. I've written a guide to this today and although it differs between individuals it should give enough of an idea so you can plan your surgery and recovery - http://www.headofhair.co.uk/hair-loss-article-post-operative-recovery.html

Day 235 - In Memory Of Pam

November 24, 2006

Sad day today as it was the funeral of my good friend's mother. Days like today make you realise how short life actually is and how you must make the most of what little time we all have.

Day 239 - London Consultations

November 28, 2006

In London for a few days seeing patients and also guys generally wanting to talk to someone about their hairloss.

When I first started to visit guys, I really thought my role would be a showcase for the excellent Choi Procedure however, now at least half of the guys I see just want to talk to someone about how they feel about their own hair loss. I understand completely as throughout my 20's, no-one really understood the effect my baldness was having on my life.

Day 241 - Yet Another New Style

November 30, 2006

A quiet day so I decided to have a new look and a change of hairstyle (again)

Much shorter and much easier to style and funk up.

Should look great for my upcoming weekend out on the town in Bristol.
